Fileay is committed to providing a safe, reliable, and responsible file-hosting environment.

If you discover content hosted on Fileay.com that you believe is illegal, harmful, fraudulent, malicious, infringing, abusive, or otherwise violates our policies, you can report it for review.

We investigate abuse reports in accordance with our Terms of Use, Acceptable Use Policy, DMCA & Copyright Policy, and applicable law.

For abuse-related questions or reports, contact:

hello@fileay.com

1. Help Keep Fileay Safe

Fileay allows users to upload, store, download, and share files.

Most users use Fileay legitimately. However, file-hosting services can sometimes be misused to distribute harmful or prohibited material.

We encourage users, rights holders, security researchers, and members of the public to report suspected abuse so that our team can investigate and take appropriate action where necessary.

2. What You Can Report

You may report Fileay-hosted content involving issues such as:

  • Malware or viruses
  • Phishing
  • Fraud or scams
  • Copyright infringement
  • Trademark infringement
  • Illegal content
  • Child sexual abuse material
  • Non-consensual intimate content
  • Stolen or leaked data
  • Privacy violations
  • Harassment or threats
  • Credential theft
  • Harmful software
  • Suspicious files
  • Abuse of Fileay services
  • Other violations of Fileay policies

REPORTING A FILE

3. Information We Need

To help us investigate efficiently, please provide as much relevant information as possible.

Your report should ideally include:

File URL
Provide the complete Fileay URL associated with the file.

Reason for Report
Explain what type of violation you believe has occurred.

Description
Describe why you believe the file violates Fileay's policies or applicable law.

Your Email Address
Provide a valid email address in case additional information is required.

Supporting Evidence
Where appropriate, include screenshots, ownership information, security findings, or other relevant evidence.

4. Always Include the Exact File URL

The most important information in an abuse report is the exact Fileay URL.

For example:

https://fileay.com/...

A report that only states:

"There is malware on Fileay"

may not provide enough information for us to locate the content.

Whenever possible, copy and submit the complete download or file-sharing URL.

5. One Report per Issue

For simple reports, submitting one affected URL per report can make investigation easier.

If your report concerns many related files, you may provide multiple URLs in an organized list.

For large reports, you may contact:

hello@fileay.com

MALWARE & SECURITY

6. Reporting Malware or Viruses

Report a file if you believe it contains:

  • Viruses
  • Trojans
  • Ransomware
  • Spyware
  • Keyloggers
  • Credential stealers
  • Malicious scripts
  • Botnet software
  • Harmful executables
  • Malicious archives
  • Other malware

When possible, include:

  • The Fileay URL
  • File name
  • Detection name
  • Antivirus or security-engine findings
  • File hash
  • Relevant technical details

Do not intentionally execute suspicious files solely to create an abuse report.

7. Reporting Phishing

You may report Fileay links used as part of:

  • Phishing campaigns
  • Fake login pages
  • Credential theft
  • Account impersonation
  • Fraudulent payment pages
  • Fake verification pages

Include the Fileay URL and a description of how the file or link is being used.

8. Security Vulnerabilities

If your report concerns a vulnerability in Fileay itself rather than a user-uploaded file, clearly identify it as a security issue.

Please contact:

hello@fileay.com

Recommended subject:

Security Report – Fileay

Do not exploit vulnerabilities beyond what is reasonably necessary to demonstrate the issue.

FRAUD & SCAMS

9. Reporting Fraudulent Content

Report files or links that appear to support:

  • Financial scams
  • Fake invoices
  • Impersonation scams
  • Investment fraud
  • Fake giveaways
  • Identity theft
  • Advance-fee scams
  • Payment fraud
  • Account theft

Provide relevant evidence showing how the Fileay-hosted content is involved.

10. Misleading Downloads

You may also report files that are intentionally represented as something materially different in order to deceive users.

Examples include:

  • A file advertised as legitimate software but containing malware
  • Fake documents used for fraud
  • Download links deliberately misrepresenting their contents

COPYRIGHT

11. Copyright Complaints

If you are a copyright owner or authorized representative and believe a Fileay file infringes your copyright, please use the procedure described in the Fileay DMCA & Copyright Policy.

Copyright notices generally require more information than ordinary abuse reports.

Send copyright notices to:

hello@fileay.com

Recommended subject:

  • Evidence that you own or represent the trademark owner
  • Your contact information

Send reports to:

ILLEGAL CONTENT

If you believe hosted material is illegal, provide:

  • Exact Fileay URL
  • Description of the content
  • Reason you believe it is unlawful
  • Relevant jurisdiction, where useful
  • Supporting information

Fileay may request additional information before acting where the legal status of content is unclear.

Fileay has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material or the sexual exploitation of minors.

If you encounter suspected child sexual abuse material:

  • Do not redistribute it
  • Do not download or save additional copies
  • Do not post screenshots publicly
  • Submit the relevant Fileay URL through our reporting process

Where required, Fileay may preserve evidence and report matters to appropriate authorities or reporting organizations.

16. Immediate Danger

If content involves an immediate threat to someone's life or physical safety, contacting local emergency services or appropriate law-enforcement authorities may be more appropriate than relying solely on an online abuse report.

You may also send the relevant Fileay URL to:

You may report content that unlawfully exposes private or sensitive information, such as:

  • Government identification documents

  • Payment-card data

Fileay may restrict access while investigating serious security reports.

19. Non-Consensual Intimate Material

Fileay does not permit the distribution of intimate material shared without valid consent.

Reports should include:

  • Exact Fileay URL
  • Description of the issue
  • Relevant evidence
  • Your relationship to the affected person, if applicable

We may request additional verification where necessary to prevent fraudulent removal requests.

HARASSMENT & THREATS

20. Threatening or Abusive Content

Report files that are being used to facilitate serious:

  • Threats
  • Extortion
  • Blackmail
  • Stalking
  • Targeted harassment
  • Doxxing
  • Intimidation

Not every offensive or unpleasant file necessarily violates Fileay policies, but serious unlawful or abusive conduct may result in action.

  • Available technical logs
  • Supporting evidence
  • Previous reports
  • Relevant Fileay policies

24. Additional Information

We may contact the reporter if additional information is necessary.

Providing incomplete information may delay investigation.

25. Possible Actions

Depending on the nature and severity of the issue, Fileay may:

  • Take no action where no violation is identified
  • Request additional information
  • Restrict a file temporarily
  • Disable a sharing link
  • Remove a file
  • Warn the uploader
  • Restrict uploads or downloads
  • Suspend PPD earnings
  • Hold suspicious payouts

  • Preserve relevant records
  • Respond to valid legal requests
  • Report serious matters where required by law

26. Temporary Restrictions

For serious security, fraud, or safety reports, Fileay may temporarily restrict access to content while an investigation is performed.

A temporary restriction does not necessarily mean that a final determination has been made.

27. File Removal

Content may be removed when Fileay reasonably determines that it:

  • Violates the Terms of Use
  • Violates the Acceptable Use Policy
  • Infringes intellectual property rights
  • Presents a security risk
  • Facilitates fraud
  • Is prohibited by applicable law
  • Otherwise violates Fileay policies

FALSE OR ABUSIVE REPORTS

28. Report in Good Faith

Abuse reporting tools are intended to protect users and the platform.

Do not knowingly submit false reports in order to:

  • Harass another user
  • Remove legitimate content
  • Attack competitors
  • Interfere with legitimate PPD earnings
  • Silence lawful content

29. Repeated False Reports

Fileay may restrict users who repeatedly misuse the abuse-reporting process.

Knowingly making false legal statements may also have legal consequences.

CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY

30. Information You Submit

Information submitted in an abuse report may be processed for purposes including:

  • Investigating the report
  • Contacting the reporter
  • Contacting the uploader
  • Enforcing Fileay policies

  • Complying with legal obligations

Processing is subject to the Fileay Privacy Policy.

31. Information Shared With Uploaders

For example, copyright disputes may require certain complaint information to be provided to the uploader.

Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in an abuse report.

32. Report Records

Fileay may retain abuse reports and related records where reasonably necessary for:

  • Security
  • Policy enforcement
  • Repeat-abuser detection
  • Legal compliance
  • Fraud prevention
  • Dispute resolution

LAW ENFORCEMENT & LEGAL REQUESTS

33. Law-Enforcement Requests

Law-enforcement authorities seeking user information should submit requests through the appropriate legal process.

Requests should clearly identify:

  • Requesting authority
  • Legal basis
  • Relevant Fileay account or URL
  • Requested information
  • Contact details

Send legal inquiries to:

hello@fileay.com

Valid preservation requests should clearly identify the information to be preserved and the applicable legal authority.

35. Emergency Requests

Emergency requests from authorized authorities involving imminent danger should clearly state the nature of the emergency and the legal basis for the request.

REPORTING CONTENT NOT HOSTED BY FILEAY

36. External Websites

Fileay can generally only take action against content hosted through or controlled by Fileay.

If another website merely mentions Fileay or links to content hosted elsewhere, the appropriate report may need to be sent to that external service.

37. Confirm the URL

Before submitting a report, confirm that the URL actually belongs to:

Fileay.com

This helps prevent reports intended for unrelated websites.
